Peugeot Sport profited from the final round of the 2008 Le Mans Series at Silverstone to unveil a Peugeot 908 HDi FAP equipped with a hybrid power plant, featuring a kinetic energy recovery system. The Peugeot 908HY was presented in a new, specific silver-grey livery and will provide a foretaste of what Peugeot's next endurance racing challenger could resemble, although its use will depend on the regulations that will govern LMP 1 cars from 2009.

Peugeot has today released details of a new hybrid concept car named Prologue. The French company says the name is derived from the fusion of “different worlds”.

Peugeot is reluctant to share much more until the Paris Motor Show next month, but in a statement today the company said the concept shows the marquees anticipattion for future trends, showing a unique architecture, style and interior ambience. The Prologue looks far more like a production-ready car than a concept.

The all-electric two-seater is designed to shorten its wheelbase for city driving by an ingenious hydraulic tilting system.

Peugeot made public a series of teaser pictures with their new concept which will be presented at the Auto Show in Paris. At this moment, nobody knows the full name of the new car, for now it’s called Peugeot RC. It will have a body kit with four doors, and yes, it will be hybrid. The French guys are very proud of its technical details, 313 HP and only 109 g/km Co2 emissions in the case of not using only the electrical engines.
